Fiscal Year 2013 Budget Forums to be Hosted in Silver Spring

Forums are three of five county-wide budget talks scheduled.

Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett is set to sponsor two budget forums in Silver Spring.

They will be hosted on Thursday, Jan. 12 at 7 p.m. in the Silver Spring Civic Center located at One Veterans Place and at the Mid-County Community Recreation Center on Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 7 p.m. located at 2004 Queensguard Rd.

The last Silver Spring forum will be hosted on Tuesday, Jan. 31 at 7 p.m. in the Eastern Montgomery Regional Services Center located at 3300 Briggs Chaney Rd.

Residents are encouraged to attend the operating budget for Fiscal Year 2013 (FY13) forum to provide input on predicted budget shortfalls.

County Executive Leggett is scheduled to announce his recommended FY13 operating budget on March 15. The Montgomery County Council approves the operating budget by May.
