Meeting Preview: Redevelopment of Park and Planning Headquarters Site

The meeting takes place Tuesday night in Silver Spring.

Montgomery County's Park and Planning headquarters is moving to Wheaton, and the Silver Spring site where it is currently located will be redeveloped. But by whom?

The county is soliciting developers for a mixed-use design and development project in Wheaton that will be the new home of Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission headquarters when it moves from 8787 Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.

A public meeting from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Park and Planning headquarters offers attendees the chance to learn more about the Silver Spring project and share any concerns. The county has said that potential developers will also be there to hear from the public.
