Silver Spring: Hurricane Irene Outages and Neighborhood Damage

According to Pepco's outage map, there are less than 10 people than are still without power.

In Silver Spring, about 200 customers are experiencing outages in the zip codes 20910 and 20901.

In Silver Spring, about 2504 customers are experiencing outages in the zip codes 20910 and 20901.

Montgomery County officials report that 40,000 residents were without power as of 10 p.m. Sunday evening.

In Silver Spring, residents seem to be steadily getting power back. In zip codes 20910 and 20901 about 1890 customers are still experiencing outages in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

Update: Sunday, Aug. 28 4:35 p.m.

Montgomery County officials report that 53,000 residents are still without power in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.

In Silver Spring, outages are slowly being restored with 1500 customers restored in the past couple of hours.

In zip codes 20910 and 20901 about 7500 customers are without power.

Original Post: Sunday, Aug. 28 2:30 p.m.

Early this morning around 10:50 a.m., Montgomery County residents reported close to 200,000 outages. Since then Pepco has steadily restored power back to those homes.

As of 2:20 p.m., about 27,000 customers are back with electricity.

In Silver Spring, about 9,000 customers are without power in zip codes 20910 and 20901.
