35 Maryland High School Students Received $210,000 in Scholarhsips

Each student received a $6,000 scholarship.

 

Students from Montgomery and Prince George’s counties received scholarships to help them attend college during a ceremony at Riderwood retirement community, where they have worked part-time.

Each of the 35 students received a $6,000 scholarship given to them from the Riderwood residents to show their appreciation of the work the students did for them, according to the retirement community's spokesman Mel Tansill.

The students received their scholarship awards from residents on March 20 during a scholars ceremony at the retirement community.

The students awarded came from Montgomery Blair High School, High Point High School, Paint Branch High School, Springbrook High School, James Hubert Blake High School, John F. Kennedy High School, Sherwood High School, and Bladensburg High School.
