National Conference on Ending Poverty

Join A Wider Circle for its National Conference on Ending Poverty. The day will include presentations by individuals working to eradicate poverty, as well as those challenged by it. Representatives from local social service agencies and non-profit organizations will share their experiences and offer practical ways for how you can end poverty.

Speakers include Michael F. Curtin, Jr., CEO of D.C. Central Kitchen, Jennifer Lockwood-Shabat, Vice President, Programs, of the Washington Area Women's Foundation, Terry Flood, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Jubilee Jobs, Nicole Lynn Lewis, Founder and Executive Director of Generation Hope, Marian Cooper, Director of Community Outreach at A Wider Circle, and Lauren Snow, Director of Education at A Wider Circle.

And… make sure to join us after the conference at A Wider Circle’s Center for Community Service for "On the Floor,” where we will spend a night sleeping on the floor to recognize the daily struggles of so many of our neighbors.
