Seminar: Thriving Through Conflict: Constructive Ways to Resolve Disputes and Increase Productivity

Conflict is inevitable. When people spend 40 plus hours working together, there’s bound to be disagreement. There’s no such thing as a relationship without conflict. Often, people prefer to avoid problems, but they can’t be ignored forever. In this workshop, you’ll learn practical and proven techniques to thrive through conflict – to work through disagreement to resolve conflict and increase productivity.                                                       

This workshop is valuable for managers, business owners and employees at all levels in an organization.  What makes it different is during the workshop you’ll be individually coached on how to manage conflict. And you’ll receive an hour of coaching afterward. You’ll also learn how to work with different perspectives and find common ground. Through interactive exercises, you’ll learn how to be a proactive conflict resolver and conduct constructive conversations at work and at home.

The cost for the one-day session is $199. If you bring someone with you, their cost is only $99. As an added bonus, each attendee will be offered one hour of private, one-on-one coaching by one of our presenters (a $200 value) after the workshop.

About the presenters:

Susan Levin is a facilitator, trainer, coach and mediator. She uses a strengths-based approach to help her clients identify their best practices to achieve their vision. For more than 20 years, Ms. Levin has worked with thousands of employees from a variety of organizations in the United States and abroad to resolve conflict, communicate more openly, build stronger teams, develop leadership, promote diversity, plan strategically and improve organizational approaches. As a mediator certified by the Supreme Court of Virginia, Ms. Levin facilitates communication so people in conflict can find new ways to resolve their issues. She has led training on using dialogue to discuss issues related to race, class, gender, age and ethnicity. In addition, she is an executive coach, assisting clients to discover their wisdom to find the answers they need.

Gregg DeMammos has been an ontological coach (that means he looks at who you’re being in order to support you in your commitments) for nearly six years. For five years, he’s been a trainer with Accomplishment Coaching, an international Coach Federation accredited Transformational Coach Training and Leadership Program. The concentration of his practice is on relationships – both personal and professional. In his private practice, he has supported clients in workplace political issues, enhancing leadership, saving marriages and creating brand new ones. Gregg is committed to the value of working out differences and personal growth and development from financial to overall well-being. He also hosts a bi-monthly group discussion called The Relationship Circle in Washington DC. 

Gwendolyn Poindexter Whiting has been an international training consultant for more than 15 years.  She specializes in facilitation, mediation, diversity training and cross-cultural conflict resolution as well as team building, coaching and change management.  She is noted for her expertise in providing technical assistance and training to non-traditional leaders, empowering them to be more participatory in decision-making processes in communities.  She spent three years working with the Department of Justice Community Relations Service as a conciliation specialist on its Church Burning Response Team.
