Whiz Kid: Grace Crawford

This award-winning kid excels in school and her community.

• Grace Crawford, 8-years-old
• 3rd Grader at Forest Knolls Elementary School
• Crawford is an great student, excelling at math and reading classes above her 3rd grade level.
• Grace loves to move, she has been taking dance classes since the age of three, gymnastics since age four and is an award-winning swimmer. She is a member of the Junior Press Corps at Forest Knolls Elementary and won the school’s “Peacekeeper Award” for respect in October of 2010. Crawford moved to Silver Spring from Atlanta last year where she was a member of her school’s Environmental Club. In addition to her schoolwork and extra-curricular activities, Grace is a member of Kids With Purpose, a mission-driven program where children actively serve the Silver Spring community at large.
