MCPS Issues Highlighted at Silver Spring Meeting

At a recent public meeting with Montgomery County Schools Superintendent Joshua Starr, a large audience of Silver Spring parents discussed issues of concern to their families.

Mold problems at Rolling Terrace Elementary School, an eight-period day at Silver Spring International Middle School, hiring of more bilingual staff, the disproportionate suspension of African American and Hispanic students, and the nagging achievement gap were highlighted in Starr's meeting at Blair High School.
