A panel of cultural experts and sports professionals discussed the role of Native Americans as sports mascots during a symposium at the National Museum of the American Indian on Thursday. The symposium entitled "Racist Stereotypes and Cultural Appropriation in American Sports" attracted a diverse audience, clearly divided on the issue by racial lines.
