Ravens, Redskins Both Underdogs in Sunday NFL Matchups

The Baltimore Ravens and the Washington Redskins will try to improve on their losing records on the road Sunday. What's your prediction?

Both the Washington Redskins and the Baltimore Ravens are on the road this Sunday, each looking to climb closer to a winning record in the NFL.

The Redskins, with a 3-6 record that places them fourth in the NFC Eastern Division, travel north to face the 5-5 Philadelphia Eagles. Game time is 1 p.m. ET on FOX from Lincoln Financial Field.

Experts on the NFL website pick the Eagles to squeak out a 26-22 win over Washington.

According to the Game Picks blogon the NFL site: “We don't trust the Redskins on the road this week, but we are exhibiting trust in Nick Foles. … As for Washington, if I'm coach Mike Shanahan, I'm running the football as much as possible. That's the Redskins' bread and butter. Get Robert Griffin III out in space and make the Eagles play 11-on-11, not 11-on-10. Also, be aware that Alfred Morris, who is averaging well over 5 yards per carry, is having a top-notch season.”

The Ravens take their 4-5 record – they’re third in the AFC Northern Division -- to Chicago’s Soldier Field on Sunday. The game starts at 1 p.m. ET on CBS.

The Game Picks blog on the NFL website favors the Bears, who have a 5-4 record, to win 27-20.

The blog’s take on the Ravens vs Bears matchup: “Baltimore squeezed back into the AFC wild-card race with a clutch (?) win over Cincinnati on Sunday. Can the Ravens do it on the road? No. The front seven has to get pressure -- and that figures to be a tough task against the Bears, for whom protecting the quarterback is no longer the huge issue it once was. … Of course, Baltimore has the third-most sacks, so this really comes down to the threat of a run game or short passing game. … Bear in mind, this game is in Chicago. The Ravens have lost four of their five road games this season.”
