Blog: There is Still Time to Adopt a Pet

Are you looking for a pet companion in your life? Montgomery County Humane Society says this summer is the best time to adopt.

“Pet lovers who adopt a dog or cat this year during the months of August, September or October will not only give a loving home to a homeless pet, they will ultimately help MCHS save more lives,” according to a recent blog post by MCPHS.

Recently, MCHS has been chosen to be a part of 50 shelters nationwide to compete in the 2012 ASPCA Rachael Ray $100K Challenge. 

Its goal is to work with and encourage the community to “get a much larger number of animals adopted or returned to their owners than last year” from August through October.
