Summer Book Fun and Family Events at the Library

Check out fun-filled activities for the summer in downtown Silver Spring!

 

Looking for a cool event to take the kids to? The Silver Spring Library is hosting a used book sale along with free family-friendly programs.

Where: located at 8901 Colesville Rd.

When: Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012

What time: The used book sale is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Nancy Nuttle’s Music Together is from 10:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.; Pottery Crafts is from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Cost: Hardbacks will sell for $2, large paperbacks for $1.50 and small paperbacks for 50 cents. Specially priced books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books will also be available.

Why go: The used book sale will include thousands of titles in categories such as fiction, history, art, mysteries, romance, literature, cooking, biography, children’s and manga.
