It's not Montgomery County, but the just-announced Busboys and Poets location in the Takoma neighborhood of Washington, DC is almost as good. Halloween Adventure, a new costume shop that moved into the former Borders Bookstore space in downtown, wasn't the only company who considered the location. Busboys and Poets owner Anas “Andy” Shallal had his eye on the space to open a new restaurant. Following controversy surrounding the county council’s scrapping of a non-binding resolution petitioning Congress to direct war spending to social programs, Shallal says he won’t consider opening new locations in Montgomery County, the Washington City Paper reports.
