Recover from super storm. Check. Elect president. Check. Thaw turkey. Already?
Montgomery County dodged the Superstorm Sandy bullet, then sailed through Election Day without major delays or problems. Could Thanksgiving Day run as smoothly? Not likely at this reporter's house. Known for its affordable, yet fashionable clothing items, the opening of the Swedish store has many residents, like Parker Tiller, wondering if it will lead way to more retail shops coming to the area. “I’m hoping a Forever21 will open sometime soon,” said Tiller who pointed out that usually wherever there is an H&M, a Forever21 is not too far from it. Aside from Tiller and her friend Abel Jimenez, who said he can’t wait for the store to open so he can apply for a job, there are a few Silver Spring residents and frequent visitors who admit to having heard…

Currently, H&M is working to obtain permits for the building, Yankowsi said. “A 60-day cycle for permitting is common for a buildout of this scale. They’re planning a complete remodel of the façade, interior as well as all mechanical systems,” she added. The popular retail fashion chain is taking the majority of the former Border’s bookstore location at the …
