Police Arrest 18-Year-Old In Hotel Armed Robbery

Guests at the Silver Spring Homewood Suites Hotel were robbed by a man wielding a sawed-off shotgun, police said.

Montgomery County police say an 18-year-old male wielding a sawed-off shotgun robbed multiple guests late Friday at Silver Spring's Homewood Suites Hotel. Jackson Julius, of the 3600 block of Bel Pre Road, was charged with multiple counts of armed robbery and other related firearm offenses, police said. At approximately 11:21 p.m. on Jan. 25, police responded to the hotel, located at 8728 Colesville Road, for the armed robbery of multiple guests in a single hotel room. Police said one victim had rented a room at the hotel and notified friends via text message that she was hosting a party in a specific room. After multiple guests had arrived, the victim heard a knock on the door and observed a male to the side of the door, and let him in …
