Picking the Perfect Preschool

Relax, it's just preschool.

I know it’s January because preschool open house listings are showing up on local blogs, online directories and my email inbox. Since Little Miss S starts kindergarten this fall, and Baby J is too young, I’m currently not in the market for a preschool. It’s too easy to get stressed out while searching for the perfect preschool for your little one. I remember the first year we looked at preschools for Little Miss S. I didn’t decide to look for a school until February, which meant we had missed almost all of the open houses for the schools in our area. I’ll let that sink in a bit. Preschool Story Time at Long Branch Library

Children get into the Fall mood with first of bi-monthly Preschool Story Times at Long Branch Library

The oval shaped rug with different colors of the rainbow, patterns of trains and alphabets excited pre-schoolers who came to enjoy Preschool Story Time.  Eight families brought their kids to the Long Branch Library program, which was not a victim of the last round of County budget cuts. Library Manager Mary Louise Daneri said "Due to the State's Early Literacy Program, events like Preschool and Baby Story Time are not considered for cancellation." Librarian Marco Scappa read two books about leaves, including "Mouse's First Fall" and a Halloween tale to the group of children.
