When will Costco open in Wheaton? The date has finally been announced.
Update, Feb. 19: The Wheaton Costco is now scheduled to open April 10 instead of April 12, according to a spokeswoman for Costco. * * * * * * * It's the question almost everyone in the area has been asking for the last four months: When will Costco open? The suspense is over. A Costco official has said that the warehouse store in Westfield Wheaton will open April 12. The date has been posted on Costco's website in the "New Locations" section, and Erich Brann, director of real estate development for Costco, confirmed it with Patch. Westfield Wheaton announced that mall stores and restaurants will reopen Tuesday at 11 a.m.

The Costco at Westfield Wheaton will not open Oct. 18 as planned, due to construction issues, the Gazette reports.
An unspecified construction issue is delaying the opening of the Costco at Westfield Wheaton, the Gazette reported Thursday. Jeffrey Ishida, vice president of real estate development for Costco Wholesale’s eastern division, told the Gazette that the delay was not related to the Costco gas station plans. Westfield Wheaton is preparing for the Costco store opening in October.
Westfield Wheaton has announced that the membership office for the incoming Costco is now open, located on the mall's upper level near Panera Bread. The office will be open Monday-Saturday from 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Westfield spokesperson Sidney Woods wrote in an email to Patch that the customer service office will provide membership and hiring information.
