About Beth
I am really thrilled to have the opportunity to write about the locally grown food in Colesville! A health issue a number of years ago opened my eyes to the importance of healthy eating and I began eating organic and locally grown foods. My husband and I have a little garden and we grow our own tomatoes, cucumbers, green beans, and lettuce. Our small effort really makes me appreciate family farmers. It is such hard work! I always think about where my food comes from and try to make choices that are good for my family, the community, the environment, and me. It might seem like a small thing at first, but what we eat can really have this positive or negative ripple effect. When not writing or eating, I enjoy biking the Capital Crescent Trail, reading, doing yoga, and hanging out in Starbucks. If you see me, say hi, and tell me about your favorite local foods in Colesville!
